This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use our website, buy a licence, contact us, or use our SharePoint web parts, why we collect it, and your rights.
1. Who we are
OfficeApps.IO is a trading name of Adams Technology Limited (company number 10497954), registered in England and Wales. We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy.

2. What we collect and why
2.1 When you buy a licence
We collect your name, work email address and organisation name, and your organisation’s SharePoint domain and Microsoft Entra tenant ID. Stripe, our payment provider, collects your card or bank details and billing address. We do not see or store your full card details.
We use this information to take payment, activate your licence, send your confirmation and VAT invoice, and keep the financial records the law requires. Our legal bases are performing our contract with your organisation, and complying with our legal obligations.
2.2 When you contact us
We collect your name, email address, organisation (if you give it) and your message, and use them to reply and to help you. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering questions from customers and prospective customers.
To protect the contact form from spam, we use Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks technical information such as your IP address and browser characteristics to tell people and automated programs apart. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping our service secure.
2.3 When our web parts check a licence
Each time one of our web parts loads in SharePoint, it sends our licence server your organisation’s tenant ID, the signed-in user’s login name (usually their work email address), the address of the SharePoint site and a product code. None of your SharePoint content is sent.
For each tenant, our licence server stores the tenant ID, the licence status and expiry date, when the record was created and last checked, how many checks have been made, and the login names of the user whose visit started the trial and of the user who made the most recent check.
We use this to provide trials and licences and to prevent unlicensed use. Our legal bases are performing our contract with your organisation and our legitimate interest in protecting our software.
2.4 When you visit our website
Our servers and Microsoft Azure Application Insights record technical information about requests to our website, such as IP address, the page requested, browser type, time and any errors. We use this to keep the website secure and working, based on our legitimate interests.
We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not track you across other websites.
5. International transfers
Some of our providers, such as Stripe and Cloudflare, may process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, the transfer is protected by UK adequacy regulations (such as the UK-US data bridge) or by the International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. How long we keep it
- Orders and invoices: six years after the end of the financial year they relate to, as required for tax purposes.
- Licence records: while your organisation uses the Suite, and for two years after the last licence check or the end of the last licence, whichever is later.
- Contact form messages and support emails: up to two years after our last exchange with you.
- Website technical logs: up to 90 days.
7. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to data portability. Some of these rights apply only in certain circumstances.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
8. Keeping your data secure
We store data in Microsoft Azure using encryption, managed identities instead of stored passwords, and access limited to the people and systems that need it. Payment data is handled by Stripe, which is certified to PCI DSS Level 1.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the "last updated" date above and, if the changes are significant, tell customers by email.
